Faisal was born November 13, 1986, in San Diego, California to Abe and Zarina Badani. He became a proud big brother to Jasmine four years later. He graduated from Villanova University with a bachelor’s degree in International Business, where he also completed a study abroad semester in Switzerland. He was very active in the Wildcats’ community which continued long after graduation with his leadership in the San Diego chapter of the alumni association. Faisal showed everyone what it was to be kind, smart, respectful, curious and a genuine gentleman.
Faisal had a lifelong sense of adventure and love of travel and culture worldwide. Everything Faisal did, he did it full heartedly and with intrigued passion; he was an avid golfer, dedicated Padres baseball fan, lover of luxury watches and cars. He could recite all the specific facts and technical components behind them by heart and would be so excited to share his intellect. Faisal loved the ocean; he was often found walking along his home turf on Coronado beach or on the boat sharing his enthusiasm of deep-sea fishing since he was a toddler.
At Faisal’s core was his love for his family. His love and dedication to his mother was beautiful and heartwarming to see, filled with that level of happiness that can only exist between a mother and her son. Faisal was a role model big brother who always looked out for Jasmine. Every time Faisal and Jasmine got together it involved going to Disneyland, traveling to new destinations, going to cinemas, dancing at music festivals, discovering new restaurants or just staying at home and playing board games. Faisal had a special bond with his father: mentor, golf, travel and fishing partner; most of all, a friendship that defies words. Faisal and his father’s list of experiences and happy moments could never be amounted to in words.
Faisal made everyone’s life brighter. He will be deeply missed. We are all thankful to him for giving us such beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
